Exercise is the maintenance that transforms healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition into a lean, athletic and visually stunning body. Let me first separate exercise into the two major components: cardiovascular exercise (cardio) and resistance exercise (lifting). Cardiovascular exercise primarily focuses on burning excess calories (fat) and resistance exercise helps build lean body mass (muscle). This is not to say that you do not burn calories when lifting weight or build muscle when jogging. Let's just say that each component has an emphasis. Resistance exercise involves using weighted resistance to stimulate muscle and maintain or increase muscle volume. Muscle is a real calorie guzzler and greatly contributes to one's ability to maintain a lean body. I will design a resistance exercise program that helps you maintain your desired body weight and look great in your swim suit all year. I will construct a cardio program around your unique needs and circumstances. I follow the "you give a (wo)man a fish he/she will eat for a day....teach him/her how to fish and he/she will eat forever" philosophy.
