David was first introduced to fitness in 1987, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17. Having attained the rank of sergeant (E-5) before his twentieth birthday, David was selected to attend the elite U.S. Army-Master of Fitness program. For two years he held the position of Battalion Fitness Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), responsible for the physical fitness training of several hundred soldiers.

David's passion is to motivate, educate, and support each client as they improve overall fitness and transition to a healthier lifestyle. David’'s system focuses on educating the individual and optimizing the process to achieve dramatic, long lasting results.

David is host of the "Fox5 NoPayneFitness Tip of the Week". This segment airs Tuesdays at 11:45am on Fox5 News (Washington DC).
 
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. He is a certified National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal trainer and has completed the 500-hour course at the National Personal Trainers Institute (NPTI) earning certifications in personal training and nutrition.

Motivated by her personal dedication to long term fitness, Pertina McIntosh (Tina), an avid student and teacher in the wellness movement, left the corporate world and founded her own company, Active Bodyworks. Heading her own company provides Tina with the exciting opportunity to bring her passion for fitness and wellness to others. Tina is a former Director of Training for Gold’s Gym and is nationally certified as a massage therapist specializing in movement, functional assessment, stretching rehabilitative therapies, Pilates instructor and Personal Trainer. She is a former multi sport competitor and continues to enjoy golf, rollerblading, mountain biking and many other sports.


Active Bodyworks has developed a number of dynamic programs and exciting products and services. We also have empowering and motivational workshops: Sports massage for the athlete, Golf Stretching & Fitness, Athletic Stretching, Stretching for You, Stretching in the work place, Creating your own Boot Camp or Circuit Training for Fitness or Sport. The Active Bodyworks approach is designed to make it fun and easy for individuals and businesses to fulfill their unlimited wellness potential. Active Bodyworks understands the importance of maintaining the quality of the site settings, while increasing wellness and reducing stress.
